Okay, if you don't know this about me, I'm a major Shakespeare nerd.
I grew up reading Shakespeare, acting it out with my family members, going to see shows, and eventually performing. I first read the Complete Works when I was nine, and I have read all or most of it almost every year since. I think I've made my point. I'm obsessed with Shakespeare.
Yesterday, we went to Stratford-Upon-Avon and saw Shakespeare's childhood home.
Unfortunately, none of the pictures I got of the building turned out very well, but I did get some cool ones inside.

I was too busy geeking out about everything and enjoying seeing it all to take pictures (a first), so the next ones I have are from the house Susanna, Will's daughter, lived in. Well, they're from the garden in the back yard.

Yes, I know I take lots of pictures of flowers. They're pretty and they're fun to take pictures of.

After seeing both houses, we walked down to the River Avon, where there were many swans. There was a guy sitting on the dock nearby feeding them, so there was a massive crowd of swans and ducks on the grass behind him (reaching over his shoulders to try to reach the bread) and in the water in front of him.
Below we have two almost identical pictures of a couple swans. I couldn't decide which one I preferred so I used both.

Right by the water was the Royal Shakespeare Theatre, home of the Royal Shakespeare Company. That night, we were going to see A Midsummer Night's Dream performed (it was amazing! Absolutely hilarious). I had seen live broadcasts of Hamlet and Richard II at the same theatre, and I was stunned by how well they could do tragedy, history, and comedy. Though it's possible to do all three well, it takes a really good company to do them all extremely well and so different from each other.

In honor of Midsummer, there was a straw (?) statue of the character Bottom with his donkey's head in the garden outside the theatre.
A very Shakespeare-full day, which was great. I do apologize for the smaller number of photos for this one. I was too busy enjoying seeing everything to remember to take pictures. Most of the ones I got weren't as artistic as I try to be, they were just pictures of things. Interesting with the tour, but not that good as stand-alone pictures.
That's all for this one,
Alec
