Good afternoon, ladies, gentlemen, and variations thereupon!
It's about 8:30 PM right now, and I love this time of day. For those who don't know, it's called the Golden Hour, about an hour-ish before the sun sets. I've gotten to do a couple portrait shoots at Golden Hour before, and it's a great experience for me and for the model(s). Whenever possible, I try to shoot a bit at this time of day.
Today, I've just been sitting inside all day, but the sun just caught my eye. I "happened" to have my camera next to me, so I got a few shots (a few for me being twenty-five) and edited the best couple. I find it interesting to shoot through windows because of the frames, screens, and fingerprints and dust on the glass. There's always interesting texture.

I don't have as much philosophical feeling to say today as I did yesterday, but I can still talk about the pictures.
In the one above, I love the bokeh (blurred spots of color in the background formed by, in this case, leaves and trunk of a tree). Of course, there's the usual narrow depth of field, with just a sliver of the screen in focus. It captures the eye with the thin black lines against the color and then draws the eye in as the lines vanish into the distance.

As for the other picture, I love the harsh contrast of the window and the intersecting lines, drawing the eye right into the sun. Then there's the purple hue, just adding a little splash of color to the shadow.

That's all  I have for today, just a couple pictures and some artistic explanations of everything.

Thanks for reading and come back again soon,
Alec
